Spurwink hired the team to help with employment related challenges that surfaced within their program. The team consultant with management, attended a staff meeting, met with staff and compiled a list of suggestions to help employees of color and American-born workers more cohesively together. CCCG plans on conducting a cultural competency training for supervisors so they can become more educated about culture, the refugee and immigrant experience, employment related struggles faced by persons of color and how Spurwink can support all staff, especially those who are disenfranchised.
